JESOLO, VENICE, ITALY
The project is set in the area of the old Hotel Aquileia and the Piazza Mazzini with the prolongation until the sandy ground and the natural continuity with the axis of the Via Bafile and the accesses to the sea.
The design seeks to emphasize the particular centrality of the area through a strong spatial unity vis-à-vis the different locations by contrasting the current disorder and fragmentation with a precise identity.
The Aquileia Tower project is wholly related to the requalification of the two plazas: it is a project for an architectonic whole, residential and commercial, which connects key public areas.
The perimeter of the tower is shaped in accordance with an intertwined group of intermediary spaces, the facade structure remaining suspended from the upper crown. A set of intersecting awnings becomes apparent as the crown of the central structure formed by the vertical communications cores, stairways and elevators.
